 Fire Support & Rescue:

When the fire department receives the call for response to a fire, time is of the essence. Immediate information about the situation in the hands of the decision makers can significantly impact the outcome. Szanca’s Eye In The Sky UAS has been working with a consortium consisting of industry partners, the North Dakota Test Site, and local fire & rescue to develop payloads to advance fire support capabilities. While establishing operational capability can significantly enhance the most effective response, UAS payloads can provide additional lifesaving capabilities. We are currently working on a payload that can see through the wall and determine whether there are people inside of a structure and whether they are alive or not.

We are currently working with the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA), the All Hazards Consortium, PA State Government and other industry partners to develop operational capabilities for integrating UAS into supporting local Fire Departments through proof of concept initiatives.
