Szanca awarded DHS Information Sharing and Policy Support contract as part of the McClendon, LLC Team. Szanca Solutions, Inc. was notified of their selection to provide services under the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Information Sharing and Policy Support contract as part of the McClendon (a BAE Systems’ company) Team. This single award, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract will enable the DHS, through its National Protection and Programs Directorate/Office of Infrastructure/Protective Security Coordination Division/Office for Bombing Prevention to accomplish its mission of promoting information-sharing and bombing prevention awareness. The work under this contract will cover a broad range of services and solutions. This contract has a total potential of five years and $48,650,000.
The scope of this contract includes the design and implementation of a systematic approach to exploiting global open-source information. The information is primarily (but not restricted to) materials in Arabic that describe or provide insight into the process by which terrorist groups, nationalist insurgents, and/or other countries design, develop, manufacture, deploy, train with, and employ improvised explosive devices, chemical or biological weapon, or other non-traditional bombs and explosives.
